Special schools overview

GCPS special schools and programs sit outside the regular cluster assignment and use their own application or registration.

Special schools are open to eligible students beyond a single attendance zone. Each one sets its own steps, and some require an application, audition, or registration window.

Start with the district's special school registration overview, then go to the school's own page for current requirements.

Programs, requirements, and transportation can change. Always confirm on the linked official GCPS or school page before applying. See all School Choice options. When this page and GCPS disagree, use GCPS.
